Separate height from feel
Stack height tells you how much material sits beneath the foot. It does not tell you how soft a shoe will feel. Read the profile’s cushioning notes alongside the brand-listed geometry, and keep any unknown measurement visible.
Choose for the runs you have planned
Decide whether this pair is for easy runs, everyday mileage or another recorded use. Our max cushion grouping is an editorial browsing category, not a standardized laboratory threshold or a claim that every shoe serves the same purpose.
Make the try-on a comparison
Compare your shortlist with your current pair. Notice the room at your toes, heel hold and how comfortable you feel moving in both shoes. Record your own impressions in saved notes so a tall silhouette does not make the decision for you.
